Type 22 pillbox, originally forming part of Nodal Point Defence.

This Type 22 pillbox (a regular hexagon in plan) originally formed part of the defences of Diss, which was a designated ‘Nodal Point’ with the purpose of holding up any German advance. The pebbledash exterior is part of the original camouflage scheme and a plaque dedicated to the Home Guard was added in 1995.
